What is E-Verification of ITR ?

After successfully filing your income tax return you need to verify it. The department starts processing your return, once it is verified. For any refunds, the return has to be submitted as well as verified. So, your refunds will be delayed if you delay in verifying your return. According to income tax laws, taxpayers get 120 days to verify his/her return. If you miss verifying your tax return within 120 days, then it will not be considered valid.
